You're in great hands
We make sure all our new and existing patients feel welcome, safe, and taken care of.
During new patient’s first visit, we will first review your dental and medical history. For diagnosis, we will examine your teeth and take X-rays of your mouth. From there, we will explain any issues and help you choose options for treatment. We typically proceed with cleaning at a time that is most convenient for you.
For a shorter time in the waiting room, please fill out the New Patient Questionnaire in one of the following formats:

We always welcome new patients to join our practice. If you prefer, we will try our best to obtain past dental records from your previous dental offices so there will be better continuation of care for you. We will provide you with a record transfer form addressed to your previous dental office, and signed by you.
With your consent, we will prepare medical letter to your physician for medical advice before starting any treatment if needed. We also have blood pressure measuring device, oximeter and touch-less thermometer to monitor patients’ health status as needed.
We welcome patients with or without dental insurance coverage.
We usually request full payment on the day when treatment has been completed. Please don’t hesitate to talk to us if other financial arrangement were needed.
We accept payments by debit card, Mastercard, Visa, personal cheque or cash.
We are happy to help patients understand their insurance coverage. But it is up to patients to let us know changes in their insurance plan or coverage. With patient’s permission, we could call their insurance company on their behalf and find out details of the insurance coverage. We can also submit their claims to their insurance company as soon as the dental treatment has been completed so that patients could get reimbursed from their insurance company as quickly as possible.
It is best practice for patients to receive their insurance reimbursement directly from their insurance company. Our office primarily follows this guideline. This will allow total visibility of treatment completed, amount paid or not-paid, along with explanation for each. This will help patients to better understand their plan and make better decision on their treatment needs and wants.
Occasionally, patients would not be able to pay the full amount of their treatment and they’d want their dental insurance company to pay us directly. We could only do so after we confirm the validity of patient’s insurance plan and the availability of dental coverage. We also require patients to pay all insurance deductible and co-payment - fees that are not covered by the insurance plan. It is illegal and regarded as insurance fraud to not collect or pay these fees.
We always provide patients with treatment options based solely on the actual clinical situation and need, NOT on patient’s available insurance coverage. Rest assured that we will not abuse patient’s insurance coverage. Having said that, we do keep a close eye on available insurance coverage information provided by patients to help them utilize their dental insurance carefully and wisely.
